Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue, Olympic Silver and Bronze medalists, have left the audience in awe with their breathtaking ice dance performance at the 50th annual ‘An Evening with Champions’ show. The duo gracefully glides across the ice to the emotional tune of Melody Gardot’s ‘Once I Was Loved’.
The noble cause show is dedicated to raising funds for ‘The Jimmy Fund’, the fundraising arm of the ‘Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’, in their fight against cancer. Since its inception at Harvard in 1970, the show has featured several notable names from the world of figure skating, including Nathan Chen, Michelle Kwan, Yuna Kim, and Evan Lysacek.
Madison stuns in a short floral sundress while Zachary keeps it simple yet elegant in a white shirt and black jeans. Their routine is meticulously choreographed to capture the essence of the song, with Zachary effortlessly lifting Madison over his head and spinning her around on the ice.
The audience cheers as they witness the duo’s perfect coordination and fluid movements, while the spotlight follows their every move. The rest of the ice is bathed in a deep purple hue, adding to the enchanting ambiance.
At one point, Madison gracefully glides across Zachary’s back before taking off as he continues to skate. Their seamless coordination and movements are a sight to behold. Madison then wraps both arms around Zachary’s neck, and they spin together with her outstretched from his body.
Finally, Zachary lifts Madison high above his head, and they end their performance in a touching embrace on their knees. The audience erupts in a standing ovation, applauding the couple’s exceptional talent and dedication to the noble cause.
